Up to this time, many areas are still covered with flood as a result of tropical storm Ondoy that recently wrecked havoc in Metro Manila and neighboring areas 11 days ago. Most affected areas in Pasig City are Villa Concha, Villa Eusebio, and Damayan of Brgy. Maybunga. With water still up to breast level, families of over 400 households are suffering of hunger and lack of shelter.
Mr. Thelmo Du, Managing Director of Ornate Designs, Inc. donated 8 sacks of rice and noodles and 2 trucks of polystyrene plastics, also known as styrofoam. The beneficiaries are the residents of the above-mentioned areas. The distribution process of the relief goods are being facilitated by volunteer staff of Live for Others Movement, Inc.
Live for Others Movement is a non-government, non-profit organization. Its basic activities is to help the less fortunate sectors in the society through livelihood training, medical services, feeding program for children, and the facilitation of donations to victims of calamities. At present, Live for Others Movement is working hard to help depressed areas affected by the flood caused by typhoon Ondoy.
